Residential students arrival: 13.07.2019
Students can combine the IB VISUAL ART with any other subjects in
the PRE or MID IB Course
Throughout the year we also offer the opportunity for individual students to apply for one to one tutoring for any length of time and studying any subjects they wish. They will be provided with meals, tutors and accommodation if needed.
This IB VISUAL ARTS Course is for students who wish to expand their creative horizons in IB VISUAL ARTS.
This course will provide the students with the investigative, analytical, and creative tools they will need to succeed in the new IB VISUAL ART curriculum. Students will also work on their Comparative Study. They will visit varied exhibitions in Vienna, such as: the Kunsthistorisches, museum of Applied Arts, Mumok museum and Belvedere Palace. This will immerse them in the thriving creative world of Vienna, and enrich their development as young artists. The artists that they experience may directly inspire their own work. This is a vital aspect of the Comparative Study (20%).
During the course students will expand their own creativity in different techniques, such as: the use of charcoal, pencils, paint, collage, pastels and photography. This is the Practical (40%) element of the course.
Vienna is an ideal location for students to stimulate their passion for art. Students will be inspired to become creative, independent thinkers, and engaged in their own work of art, as documented in their Process Journals (40%)
- 18 hours (2.5 days) or 36 hours (5 days) open studio time every day until 10pm
